This limited edition print has been created to accompany an exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery of new works by the artist Jamie Hewlett. The exhibition, The Suggestionists, will run from Novermber 18th to December 2nd 2015.
La Roue de Fortune is a piece from a new body of work by the artist entitled Tarot. Extrapolating from magic realist Chilean art film auteur Alejandro Jodorowsky's reconstruction of the original Tarot de Marseille, Hewlett has created 22 Tarot cards with his own distinct sylistic signature.
La Roue de Fortune (The Wheel of Fortune) is a portent of change. The card is usually seen as symbol of positive changes to come in ones life. Change is a fundamental part of the cycle of life. However, the card can also indicate a forthcoming period of difficult transition since change can be a disruptive and possiblly traumatic process.
Numbered prints will be sent out in ascending order with all purchases processed in the order that they are received.
