Daniel the Gardener is a botanical artist from Buenos Aires, now based in London. Trained as a painter, his practice moves across painting, drawing, tattooing and publishing, with plants at the centre of his work.
His paintings have been presented at Saatchi Gallery, and his live tattoo projects have taken place at William Morris Gallery and Chelsea Physic Garden. He was also the first tattoo artist to join Sarabande Foundation, founded by Lee Alexander McQueen, as part of its artist in residence programme.
Across painting, tattooing and publishing, Daniel’s work explores how botanical forms can hold memory, emotion, place and personal connection. His book, Beyond Botanical, extends this practice into a guided drawing and journaling experience.
