Pakal is the alter ego of an established street artist. It is a means of alternative expression by the artist. Pakal chooses not to reveal his or her identity to let the artworks exist within their own autonomous context, and to avoid any comparison with other work produced by the artist. Free from boundaries, borders or labels, the artist invites the viewer to find their own connections with the works. The use of vivid colours, different materials and subject matter connected with the Far East and indigenous art of Central America add to the intrigue.
