Webb uses vintage magazines and printed ephemera that he has collected to create simple but elegant hand-made collages. The artist refuses to utilise Photoshop to manipulate imagery. Webb uses simple and concise cuts to transform the original material into something altogether more surreal and enigmatic.
Joe Webb is a British artist who lives and works near Lewes in East Sussex. The artist first came to the attention of the Saatchi Gallery in 2012 after winning an online competition. A series of limited edition prints sold out quickly.
The exhibition Paper Cuts took place within the Prints & Originals Gallery in 2015. The exhibition showcased new works. Joe Webb continues to produce fresh original work and new limited editions prints.
